What I like this medical test is that you are simply going to relax. I had this diagnostics twice for my shoulder and lumbar spine.
Both of which I only needed to lie down and listen to the music on my headphone.
My Experience
It is a little bit tiring to be steady inside the tube for more than 30 minutes. But I need to do it so that the images are clear. The staff provided me the earphones so we can communicate and so that I will not hear the loud noise.
Price of MRI
Usually, the plain scan’s average cost is ₱4,000 while the more advanced “with contrast” can reach up to ₱12,000. The cheapest is ₱4,500 for the head as a charity rate. The body part involved in the test predicts the price of the MRI.

I have note scouted all the hospitals in the Metro but when I had it at Iscan, I was charged about Php 5,800 and Php 7,000 respectively.

St. Luke’s Medical Center
We selected this hospital because of its proximity. It has at least two branches which can make it accessible to both North and South Metro Manila patients.
The hospital also employs some of the latest equipment in MRI scanning, giving you peace of mind with accurate results.
IScan Diagnostics
Also in QC, this center has one of the cheapest rates compared to hospitals. My neurologist recommended this clinic for me to undergo a cranial scan. The facility is quite small but you can easily park in the side streets. This is where I had my test.
Makati Medical Center
The hospital has various MRI types based on the patient’s body part requirement. Their machines can generate detailed images to detect early cancer signs. They also have one of the cheapest rates considering that it is a premier hospital in Makati.
Capitol Medical Center
We included this hospital because of its flexibility in schedules. The MRI department can accept patients from Monday to Saturday, perfect for those who work on weekdays. The operating hours is from 8AM to 8PM which is ideal for busy people.
