The procedure may be done at the hospital or clinic and yes they are usually more expensive. For those who are still confined, the therapist will proceed to the patient’s room for a session. If the patient is able to proceed to these locations personally, they will receive treatments appropriate to their conditions at a reduced rate.

Some HMO health cards can cover up to 6 sessions of OT. This means the patient may need to pay for the succeeding therapies in cash or in other forms. Why not look for your policy and read the fine print of your benefits? For sure, OT is included in them.

If the patient is not able to proceed to the hospital, on site service is available. However, the price for home service may cost Php 500 more on top of the usual rates which mainly depends on you location. Some professionals may also need to add transportation costs and other charges.

Occupational therapy is suitable to help a patient do the normal daily chores and activities by himself. On the other hand, physical therapy intends to help a patient perform physical movements of the body.
