Average estimated price of anti tetanus shot in the Philippines is from Php 190 to Php 600 depending on the hospital. Antitoxin shots may also be given for the initial wound care to prevent infection.
This type of vaccine is usually affordable and accessible to patients. In most hospitals, you can directly go to the Emergency Room (ER) to get treated.

Animal Bite Centers
Most animal bite centers or ABC also include the vaccine if the patient was bitten by dogs or cats. You may ask the doctor from the clinic if you need this vaccine.

How Long Is It Effective?
We asked the doctor about the duration of the vaccine’s efficacy and found out that the single tetanus toxoid is valid up to 2 to 5 years. But if you have a deep wound, you may need booster shots even if you had the vaccine in less than two years. Consult with your doctor about this.
Pregnant Women and Birth Delivery
Usually, the vaccine is also given to women who just gave birth for example with caesarean or c-section operation. The doctor will provide you the shot and is included in the total hospital bill.
Vaccine for Children
You may proceed to the ER if your child has a deep and dirty wound. Or, you can have him immunized together with a tetanus package including other vaccines. Usually, this is also cheap and affordable for a long term protection.
