Your health card may become useful if the burn required emergency procedures. Initially, you will go to the ER. This is where HMO and prepaid health cards will be used.
Health insurance will also cover full extent of the medical bill if there is an emergency situation. Generally, skin procedures related to plastic surgery is not covered.
When it comes to Philhealth, you will be covered if done in a hospital. Your health condition and the urgency of the surgery will come into play.
But if you will only have the surgery for aesthetics or cosmetic purposes, you will not be covered.
