Tuberculosis or TB is one of the diseases that may lead to complications if not treated. The price of Quantiferon-TB Gold Test (QFT) is from Php 3,850 to Php 8,000 and above. Look at our price list.
Hospital Prices
Hospital | Price (Php) |
---|---|
Lung Center of the Philippines | 6,480 |
Hi Precision | 2,000 to 4,000 |
Makati Medical Center | 7,130 |
Note that the price is an approximate since hospitals and clinics may charge differently.
The diagnostic clinic that we found offering cheaper rates is available at Hi-Precision. This is based on their posted ad and may change anytime. On the other hand, a PPD skin test may also be accurate so you should ask your doctor of other options.
Note that this is a special test and usually, health card HMOs will not cover it. With regards to Philhealth, the procedure is not included in the case rate available from their site. Expect this test to be at your sole expense.
I have interviewed some patients at a major hospital in QC and mentioned that it is quite expensive. But the good thing is that their health cards covered the cost.
Government Hospitals
While the test may be expensive, you can find a center where you can get discounts. For example, you may use your senior ID to lessen the price rate.
On a personal note, I haven’t encountered this from my family, friends and team members who had this test before.
