APE is a set of medical exams to detect any health problems. Usually, a package rate is from Php 2,200 to Php 12,500 and above. It can be offered as a set of service for job hunting and application requirements. Check this list of hospitals where APE is available with their prices.

The lowest price that we discovered is Php 1,000 including basic tests like x-ray, rectal exam and vision evaluation. I have once availed the service in a diagnostic clinic with this rate.
What are the included tests in a package?
Annual physical exams may include different tests depending on the hospital, package and request of employers. Some of the most common tests may include but not limited to:
- Fasting Blood Sugar
- Lipid Profile
- Creatinine
- Uric Acid
- Electrocardiogram
- Chest X-Ray
- Consultation with a doctor
- Digital rectal exam (DRE)
Do I need fasting for the blood test?
If you will include the blood sugar level, then yes you need to fast from 10 to 12 hours.
Many companies are offering free exams when one applies for a job. Hospitals may be third party centers where you can also get employment exam services, just make sure it is honored by the company.
Where can I have the cheapest exam?
We understand that first time job hunters have limited budget. That’s why is it best to find a more affordable alternative. You may find diagnostic clinics that offer packages relatively cheaper than those in hospitals.
Does it include drug test?
Depending on your package, a drug test may also be included.
The results are usually available on the same day. The doctor will perform the test and will provide info on any medical conditions. Additional tests may be performed if they are needed.
It is important to understand the purpose of APE. Usually, a general medicine or family medicine doctor will conduct the physical exam. For those with special concerns or with existing medical conditions, a separate doctor may be needed like urologist for males and OB gyne for females.
