PT involves special exercises and procedures to help a patient recover from injuries and surgery. The usual per-session fee is from Php 600 to Php 1,500. We’ve listed the prices of some hospitals.

The lowest price per session that we found starts from Php 300 at a public hospital. In most private hospitals, the rate may start from Php 700. This is usually for the basic therapy for injuries such as rotator cuff injury or lumbar problems such as herniated or slipped discs.
How can I avail a promo?
Hospitals also offer promo prices starting at Php 3,500 for 5 sessions. But when I checked, it is only for specific conditions like stroke or fall patients.
Just like with other medical services, senior citizen members can get discounts for PT sessions. For example, those who had stroke or with injuries can get up to 20% discount depending on the hospital and clinic that will provide the service.
Is it painful to do therapy exercises?
There may be some discomfort, especially with stretching. But pain is usually tolerable in any physical therapy activities.
How many sessions do I need?
It depends on your doctor’s prescription and your total recovery. You may need more than the basic 6 sessions.

How many sessions do I need? There is no exact way to know how many therapies you will need. Only the doctor will provide a tentative number of sessions until you recover from an injury or disease.
Usually, therapies will start with six (6) sessions and will be increased further if necessary.
I was given a 6 session therapy program priced at Php 750 each. The included services are TENS, hot patch and exercises. Traction for the lumbar section was also utilized.
I was told by my doctor that other patients may need occupational therapy depending on their health concerns, especially those who had stroke.
Health cards can cover up to 6 free sessions of physical therapy from your plan. It depends of course on your card and the program you have availed.
Home service is widely available. This is for those who cannot go to the clinic or hospital due to an injury. You may avail of this service but with an additional price. Usually, the cost can range from Php 1,100 to Php 1,500 more expensive on top of the usual rate.
