Diagnostic procedures for heart health may include the traditional ECG. However, longer tests for 24 hours may be able to catch abnormalities. The Holter Monitor test price starts from Php 2,700 and up.
Prices of Hospitals
Hospital | Price |
---|---|
Makati Medical Center | ₱8,500 |
Capitol University Medical Center | ₱4,500 |
Bataan General Hospital | ₱2,200 |
St. James Hospital | ₱4,147 |
Since you will need the test for heart monitoring, you may be charged based on the device. A cheap Holter monitor is usually available in a public hospital starting with the price of ₱2,200.
In some hospitals, an initial deposit of Php 1,000 and a valid ID are the only requirements for the test. It may require an appointment since the duration of the test is longer compared to other diagnostics.
A health card from HMO may not be able to cover such a test but your consultation with the cardiologist may be covered as a benefit from your account. Ask your provider about the expenses involved.
Result
After you have completed at least 24 hours, the results will then be retrieved by the hospital. Your doctor will interpret the results based on your heart’s condition while doing regular things. Depending on the hospital, reading and interpretation may be available after a few days.
Test at Home
The test will run for at least 24 hours which means your heart will still be monitored even while at home. The collected data will then be saved so the hospital can access it after the duration of the test. Sometimes, extended monitoring may be required leading up to 48 hours.
