Government hospitals may provide cheaper excision rates especially for outpatient procedures. I have found a public hospital that charges only Php 180 for minor skin bumps.

As always, surgery of any type is covered by Philhealth and it usually discounts up to Php 60% of the total bill.

The excision for benign mass may start from Php 3,640 as of this writing. Other case rates may cover up to Php 8,000 depending on the type of surgery.

When Is This Needed?

It is the complete removal of a mass, tumor or cyst from a body part. The mass may be benign or malignant which predicts the type of procedure needed. It may also refer to the removal of skin cancer together with some healthy tissues around the tumor.

Type of Doctor

The most qualified doctor to do an excision is a general surgeon. Every hospital in the country has a resident surgeon who can handle your concerns with lumps and mass.
