Certain cancers can be treated with radiation using brachytherapy. The price of brachytherapy starts from Php 15,900 to Php 35,000 per treatment as a package. For each hospital, there is a definite rate based on included services.

In some private hospitals, the price may start from Php 24,000 per case for high dose rate or HDR. As of the moment, we only have MakatiMed as the reference.
Types of Cancer for the Treatment
Not all types of cancers may respond to certain treatment types. For brachytherapy, certain cancers may be appropriate as recommended by the doctor.
- Cervical cancer
- Breast cancer
- Prostate cancer
Philhealth may cover brachytherapy at a fixed amount from Php 5,000 to Php 18,000 depending on the procedure indicated in its case rate. For example, the high dose treatment for cervical cancer is covered up to Php 175,000 per case (as of published date, may change).
Medical procedures related to the therapy may also have reduced prices using your HMO health cards. They may include professional fees of doctors, room and board and operating room costs.
