You may contact the facility in your area to request for the updated price. Public hospitals tend to have lower rates starting from ₱1,300. However, patients need to undergo appointment and scheduling procedures.
Some private hospitals that we have found may charge more, reaching up to 10,000 pesos. Obviously, we can assume that most private hospitals have rates based on packages.
What should I do before the test?
According to Michigan Health, you should not eat or drink at least 4 hours before the procedure. The staff will guide you and give other instructions before the exam.
Will I vomit during the process?
Some patients may not like swallowing a substance. Be careful because you might vomit so you have to tell this to the medical staff.
Is the barium chemical safe?
The substance is safe and doctors have been recommending this procedure to monitor the digestive system and diagnose problems.
When will I receive the results
Depending on the hospital, the results of the test may be available from 1 to 3 days. However, an additional set of tests for the digestive system may prolong the results’ release.
