Some government hospitals may offer a better price for the test. For example, these units are dedicated for lung diseases and may be subsidized by the government. A cheap PFT in public hospitals have a price range of ₱1,500 to ₱3,500.

PFT means Pulmonary Function Test. This is available in order to see the health of the lungs and diagnose possible diseases. It can measure the size and performance of the lungs when the person inhales and exhales.

It measures the rate of exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide in the lungs. Those with suspected lung infection may benefit from the test. A doctor’s prescription will be needed in order to undergo the procedure.

Preparation
