RCT is usually the final method to save a tooth due to severe cavities. A dentist may charge Php 7,000 to Php 10,000 per root. Packages are available for multiple sessions which usually require at least three treatments.
In one of our researches, a university based clinic in Quezon City offers about Php 4,000 per root canal treatment. I was lucky to avail this service as it was 50% cheaper compared to mall clinics for the overall package.
Additional Expenses
After the therapy, you will also have to spend on either a dental crown or permanent filling. Is this necessary? The answer is yes because the tooth is now hollow and therefore weaker. It needs to have a firm support from any of the two options.
Dental crowns may cost from Php 9,000 to Php 25,000 depending on the type of material. Permanent filling on the other hand has a price range of Php 9,000 to Php 12,000. Porcelain dental crowns are usually more expensive as they provide a similar look and color of the tooth.
Why Is Root Canal Ideal For Me?
Well, it actually saves your teeth. For most people, they think that the ideal solution is tooth extraction if pasta or filler don’t work. But this should not be the case because you can still save your tooth while being pain-free forever.
According to the American Association of Endodontists, endodontic treatment such as root canal preserves your smile and lets you eat the food you like.
Where Can I Have the Treatment
Orthodontist and endodontist dental clinics usually provide the treatment. However, even regular dental clinics may be able to provide the service by a qualified dentist.
Like most private hospitals, you can avail of a cheaper price at a government dental clinic. However, they may be installed inside public hospitals where you need to get an appointment. Prices vary which may start from Php 1,200 per session.
