In Patient Benefits Discount
For patients who were confined, the Philhealth confinement benefits will be applied upon discharge. There will be discounts on hospital charges, the professional fees of doctors and the attending physicians. Make sure that the health care institution (hospitals or clinics) is accredited by Philhealth to enjoy this benefit.
Confinement Discount
As mentioned, the confinement price discount will depend on the total bill incurred by the patient. If the hospital is accredited by Philhealth, the discount will be applied on the doctor’s fees and hospital charges upon discharge. You may request for the outstanding bill from the billing section or cashier of the hospital.
Out Patient Benefits Discount
The outpatient benefits and discounts rates will depend on the medical services.
Surgery
The case rate amount will be deducted from the total bill incurred by the patient. This is only applicable to health institutions accredited by Philhealth.
Radiotherapy
Philhealth discount coverage reimbursement for radiotherapy ranges from Php 2,000 to 3,000. The case rate amount for radiotherapy is Php 2,000 per session for cobalt and Php 3,000 per session for linear accelerator
Hemodialysis
The case rate is Php 2,600 per session. It is best to look for accredited hospitals and medical facilities where Philhealth is honored.
Blood Transfusion (Outpaitent)
The case rate for blood transfusion outpatient is Php 3,640.
