  2. how about carotid CT angiogram?

Dear Sir, how much will it cost for the Angiogram if my brother is at the Veterans Hospital

  4. Hi Alex,
Marikina Valley Medical Center has a heartfelt program started last September 2022. Price for Cardiac-angiogram is P45k, all in for Philhealth Members. Angioplasty starts at P155k ++ depending on the number of stents.

I just have my consultation Sept 03, 2022 with my doctor at Phil. Heart Ctr. regarding the necessity to have a coronary angiogram. I was told by my doctor that it will cost me about P45K to P50K for the procedure as an out patient & subject to a senior discount. My doctor, James Ho charges only P400.00 for consultation fee, while my previous doctor at Chinese Gen charges P1,500.00. For my angio all I have to prepare aside from the money, is a creatinine test, and an RT-PCR test for Covid, 4 hours before the procedure. P500,000.00 is scandalous, even if you have the money. Please informed your other readers to check at Phil. Heart Center. I am a retiree for about 14 years now & is living on my SSS pension & a passive income.

It is recommended for patients to compare the prices of angiogram in hospitals. In some hospitals, an angiogram package is available which could help you save money instead of multiple medical procedures.

My wife was taken to De La Salle Hospital, Dasmarinas, Cavite. In emergency I was told she should have a test in the Cardiac Center to determine if she would be a suitable candidate for an operation. I was told the cost would be PHP 70, 000. I agreed and sometime later I was shown what I believe to be an angiogram. The doctor told me her problem could be addressed by inserting a stent. He told me the overall cost would be 400, 000. I agreed. The eventual bill was 650,000. It seems the angiogram alone cost 550, 000. I complained about this and asked for a refund but until now, I have not been offered anything.

      Hi Alex,
In some cases, angiogram may be utilized as part of a procedure. For example, a basic coronary angiogram may start at around Php 50,000. But sometimes, it may be included in a package. For example, in a surgery or cathetherization the price may go up starting from around Php 110,000. You mentioned that there is an insertion of stent which is a major surgical procedure (and understandably expensive). Surgery of this type may cost more than 500,000. Hopefully, you can request for a breakdown of expenses from the hospital.
